A Woman's Inner Beauty

I hope you all will agree with me on this that Inner Beauty is more Important than Outer Beauty .The qualities of such woman are: 1. She works on her field area with full interest. 2. She loves everyone she deals with, has open heart. 3. Find ways to adjust herself in any environment. 4. Smiles at every challenge. 5. Listens to her heart. 6. Firm at her decision. 7. She follows disciplined life in the light of Islam 8. She is confident, literate, powerful, knows how to make others respect her. 9. Her personality reflects her inside generosity. 10. Can differentiate between right and wrong. 11. She looks after her health (we will discuss that Inshallah, in other topic). 12. Thinks before she speaks. 13. Sets her goals no matter what others say, and listens to her heart, her own wills. and FINALLY * The main key is BEING HONEST TO HER OWN-SELF

Appreciation

Whenever we watch a TV Show or some award ceremonies, we wish that we could get the same awards for all the hardwork we put for our family. But if we see a positive side, Appreciation seems to us like a award. Appreciation by husband for ironing his clothes, by kids for preparing good food for them, for parents and family by making them smile. They pay us back by APPRECIATING us. This is our award. The Real One...:)

Homemaker

Many women to day are independent, successful, educated, professional, and self-sufficient. These are the standards whereby we measure "success" and people with these characteristics are what we regard as "intelligent" as opposed to "uneducated." However, careful analysis reveals that the woman of the house fulfills the following roles: 1. She has to be a wife to her husband. 2. She has to be a mother to her children. 3. She is a teacher, teaching her children between right and wrong. 4. She is a tutor, assisting with homework. 5. She is a psychologist, using her intellect in daily struggles with husband and children. 6. She is a counselor, counseling the children when a bully hits them. 7. She is a financier, budgeting the household expenses. 8. She is a chef, preparing the meals. 9. She is a baker, baking on special occasions. 10. She is a tailor, mending clothes. 11. She is a driver, ferrying the kids to and from school. 12. She is a buyer and store cle...

Happy Hajj and Eid Ul Adha

salam alaikum!!! Youm ul Arfa , a very important day passed and announced the arrival of Eid. Aww am sorry for being late but...well...every homemaker knows..loads and loads of cleaning, cooking and blah blah. Well I just cooked Shami Kababs and Kheer for guests as we had lunch at my mother's place. I was late to bed i.e.after Eid Prayer. I was looking for a REAL LOVELY jalabia but didn't find any so wore shalwar kameez. We did not make sacrifice in Jeddah but sent money to Pakistan for this purpose. My friend is performing Hajj mashallah. I asked her about weather and she said its too hot there. Well we are already done with first day of Eid while some countries like Pakistan are celebrating it today. I wish you all a very happy Eid. *Please read about Hajj and Eid ul Adha in detail at my another blog: GLOWING PEARLS

McDonald's Toys to be Banned ???

I don't know if any of you is aware of this or not, but my DH told me that McDonald's toys, which come with "Happy Meals" for kids, are going to get banned as this UNHEALTHY food is causing weight gain and children are getting addicted to it due to those toys. I told this REALLY BAD ;) news to my 10-years-old brother and he made sad "O" mouth which made me laugh :D here is an extract from a site: The measure, believed to be the first of its kind in the United States, is being introduced in Santa Clara County, an area of 1.7 million people that includes Silicon Valley. One quarter of children in the area are overweight or obese and officials say they are tackling an "obesity epidemic".They said toys were being used to lure children to high calorie foods loaded with salt. Ken Yeager, the county supervisor behind the ban, said: "This prevents restaurants from preying on children's love of toys to peddle high calorie, high fat, high sodium kid...

Carpet or just Tiles?

I always find it easy to have carpets, first of all it is guest ready while tiles are messed up very early, even walking bare footed make tiles look untidy sometimes. We have carpets in our bedrooms but tiles in drawing room, living room and passage. Its fine to have them in Kitchen and Washroom ;) as they need mopping most of the time. What do you prefer?
